I started this group to help people get their resumes together, meet other professionals, and start making connections to get their careers moving. Careers & Coffee is a small network driven group started by members of The Resume Lounge.
Our next meeting is at Cafe Intermezzo (Perimeter location) on Saturday, Feb 20th at 10AM.

We had a great time last week at the JobNews job fair in Dunwoody. We spoke to and helped 150 people with their resumes at the job fair, and the line at our table was so long that we collected another 75 resumes from people standing in line needing our advice. It is always a reminder that more can be done, so please keep supporting us so that we can keep our efforts going!

We had a great time talking to some high school seniors as part of the Mayor’s Youth Program. Over 100 kids (young adults to be politically correct) were there.
We did a presentation of being prepared for the workforce and I was impressed that a lot of them were ready with questions. I think we really accomplished engaging the students and giving them great advice to assist them with their future careers.
